HO WEST DCE ENGAGES SCHOOL HEADS ON IMPLEMENTATION OF TWO EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES.

On 9th February 2022, the District Chief Executive, Honourable Ernest Victor Apau made presentation to all school heads as key stakeholders in the implementation of DCE’s learning initiatives termed ” SELF LEARNING MODEL FOR BASIC SCHOOLS AND PEER MODEL FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS”. These initiatives were developed by the DCE with support from Directorate of Education to help improve standard of education in the District.

The District Chief Executive in his address to the heads disclosed that the pilot implementation will begin with 25 schools in March 2022. He indicated that community volunteers mostly Old Boys and Girls of the schools and elites of various communities are being recruited to support the program.

Hon. Apau also stated that last year he made presentation to Honourable Assembly Member’s at their General Assembly Meeting and were very appreciative of the initiative and gathering support for its implementation. He again added that he has engaged traditional authorities on the initiatives whiles Ho West Queens Association takes up the campaign in mobilizing stakeholders for support.

The DCE indicated he is set to continue with all to give reality to the dream of aggressively improving educational outcomes to safeguard the future of of the District and Ghana at large. He wishes all stakeholders the best in our collective efforts towards a better Ho West.

The heads of schools were very appreciative of the initiatives and promised to help the implementation.
