The Ho West District Assembly in collaboration with the Costal Development Authority (CODA) on Friday 1st April, 2022 have handed over two project sites to a Contractor for the construction of 2 No. 20 unit market sheds for Dededo and Kissiflui markets. The projects are being funded by Coastal Development Authority (CODA) under the One Million Dollar One Constituency Fund.
The District Chief Executive for Ho West, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau in his address at the two beneficiary communities called on stakeholders to support to ensure smooth completion of the projects. He added that when the projects are completed it will help boost the local economy and improve the standard of living of the citizenry.
Hon. Apau also introduced the contractor Mr. Asamoah Anokye (Kofi Annan Construction Limited) to the Chiefs and elders of the communities. He urged them to give the contractor the needed support to enable him complete the projects on time.
The Chiefs and elders of Dededo and Kissiflui thanked the government for the projects and pledged to give the contractor the needed support to ensure prompt delivery of the projects. They further appealed to the contractor to employ local hands in order to provide jobs for the youth as well as ensure the project is completed as soon as possible. They again appealed that the two markets should be fenced.
Presents at the program were the District Chief Executive, the Regional Project Coordinator of CODA, the Regional Community Outreach Officer of CODA, Hon. Assembly Member for Dededo Electoral Area, Chiefs, elders and opinion leaders of Dededo and Kissiflui, the Contractor of the Project, District Engineer, District Information Officer, and Rep. of District Planning Officer.
