The Volta Regional Director of the National Youth Authority, Mr. Yao Semorde has paid a courtesy call on the District Chief Executive of Ho West in his office on Wednesday 31st August, 2022.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the substantive District Youth Coordinator to management of the Assembly.
Mr. Yao Semorde,who was accompanied by some members of his management team said the vision of the National Youth Authority (NYA) is geared towards empowering the youth to enhance their overall development. He solicited the Assembly’s support to the officer to enable him champion youth activities in the district.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau was grateful for the visit and took the opportunity to welcome the officer into the district. He noted that the role of the youth in nation building is critical to the development of any country hence the need to encourage them to participate in youth programs that will help them develop the nation and their future.
Hon. Apau also advised the officer to work closely with stakeholders to achieve the necessary result.
