The District Chief Executive of Ho West, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau on Thursday 6th April, 2023, has visited Bishop Joel M. Konzen S. M. Catholic School at Awudome Avenui. The purpose of his visit was to tour the newly built facility and also donate street lights to the school.
The Founder of the school, Mr Michael Barry in his welcome address thanked the DCE and his team for the visit. He also expressed his gratitude to the community for given them the place to establish the school.
The Hon. District Chief Executive in his statement expressed his profound gratitude to the financiers for such an edifice. He indicated that the facility will go a long way to supplement government’s efforts to improve access to Education and Health at all levels in the district. He also used the opportunity to urged the children to remain focus and be discipline in all their endeavours in order to shape them to become what they aspire to be in the future.
The District Assembly donated some street lights to the school to improve visibility and security at the school.
The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor said the street lights donated was to support and improve security issues in the school. It’s also to serve as a symbol of the Assembly’s appreciation for such a modern and befitting facility established to serve the entire district.
Mr. Eli Newton, the Director of Operations led the team to tour the facility. They toured the classrooms, canteen, teachers’ accommodation, dormitories and health center.
Mr. Michael Barry, the Founder, thanked the Assembly for providing the school with the street lights to improve security situations in the area.
