HO WEST DCE VISITS AVATIME SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (AVASEC)

The District Chief Executive of Ho West, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau on Tuesday, 9th May 2023 met with the management of Avatime Senior High School (AVESEC) to inspect and discuss the way forward on the havoc caused to the school’s Science Lab by a heavy rainstorm as well as inspect the situation on the 10-seater W/C toilet facility constructed by CODA.

The meeting saw the presence of the District Chief Executive, Hon Ernest Victor Apau, the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor; Director of NADMO, Mr. Anthony Dedume; District Planning Officer, Mr. Ebenezer Nkrumah; the District Environmental Health Analyst, Mr. Daniel Kumah; the Headmistress of AVASEC, Mrs. Rebecca Mawusi Venya; the Board Chairman of AVASEC, Mr. John Kodzo Teku; Mr Etornam Komla Anipa , Quantity Surveyor and Architect, Mr. Emmanuel Nutsukpo Kekeli.

The Headmistress of the School, Mrs Rebecca Mawusi Venya and the Board Chairman of AVASEC both appealed to the Assembly to assist them roof the Science Lab and to also complete the septic tank constructed by the school’s own initiative.

The District Chief Executive in his statement indicated that he is lobbying for the completion of the toilet facility built by Coastal Development Authority (CODA) for the school. He further stated that management of the District Assembly will take decision on the havoc caused to the Science Lab and communicate to the management of the school.

Meanwhile, the District Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Daniel Kumah was tasked to assist the school to improve on proper ways of waste disposal and management in the school.
