On Thursday, June 15th 2023, the Ho West District Assembly has handed over the project site to contractor for the rehabilitation of Kpedze Todze- Anagokofe 1.8km Feeder Road under the Labour Intensive Public Works (LIPWs) of the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (GPSNP 2).
The team, comprised of the District Coordinating Director, representatives from the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project, some Heads of Departments and the Contractor of the project, first visited the Chief and opinion leaders of Kpedze Todze to officially introduce the Contractor and others involved in it implementation.
The project is being executed by Messrs Megatrexx Ghana Limited and being funded by the World Bank through the MLGDRD. It is expected to be completed within 12 months.
The project aims to contribute to poverty reduction, job creation, climate change resilience, and the enhancement of socio-economic lives of the less privileged in Ghana’s communities.
Mr. Seth Asuo, the Director of Agriculture, emphasized the importance of communal involvement for the success of the project and called for collaboration from all stakeholders.
Togbe Okumka V, the Chief of Kpedze Todze, expressed his gratitude for the project and assured the community’s support for its success.
