On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, the District Chief Executive of Ho West, Honorable Ernest Victor Apau, visited Awudome Anyirawase to inspect the construction of a culvert that collapsed during a heavy rainfall.
During his visit, the DCE engaged the drivers and some individuals at the scene on the challenges and assured them of the government’s commitment to addressing the issue. He disclosed that he had earlier on visited the Abutia enclaves to assess the situation on the ground as motorists are using a diversion.
The DCE also paid a courtesy call on Awudome Paramount Chief, Togbe Adai Korsi Dzani XI to express his appreciation to him and the elders for their support.
He assured that highway patrol will ensure the safety of the public and expressed his appreciation to the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, Ghana Highway Authority, Ghana Police Service, National Road Safety Commission, and all stakeholders for their support.
The DCE also interacted with the Foreman of Sky Company Ltd, who confirmed that the collapsed culvert would be constructed within 21 days and assured that they would complete the work on time.
He was accompanied by the Assembly Member for the Electoral Area, Hon. Christian Agbemenyale, and some party executives.
