On Thursday 28th July 2022, the Honourable District Chief Executive for Ho West, Mr. Ernest Victor Apau visited Lions FC, a new Kpedze based football club from Ho West participating in the ongoing division 3 middle league at the Ho Sports Stadium.
After giving them financial support, the Hon. DCE encouraged the club stating “most great things had small beginning”. He recalled organizing DCE’s unity gala in 2020 and encouraging the various participating teams to properly register and be supported.
Hon. Apau hinted that more steps are in place to develop sports especially football in Ho West. He added that there will be a district-wide unity gala come December, 2022 to unearth more talents.
The Hon. DCE called on the youth of Ho West to remain disciplined and persevere to achieve greater heights. He also assured them that government remains committed to supporting all individual and group initiatives without discrimination.
