The Honourable District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ho West, Mr. Ernest Victor Apau on Monday 1st August 2022 handed over site to contractor for the rehabilitation of the Kpedze Health Center Maternity Ward.
Hon. Apau at a brief ceremony to hand over the site, disclosed that as part of upgrading the Kpedze Health Center to a befitting status, government took steps to provide the facility a solar mechanised bore hole, medical theater and renovated the medical laboratory.
He said the project is being funded from the District Performance Assessment Tool (DEPAT) and expected to be completed in 3 months which will be executed by Messers Kwaneth Company Limited. He added that the rehabilitation when completed would improve upon maternal health care delivery in the district.
The DCE urged management of the Health Center to develop the culture of maintenance that will make the facility last longer. He also charged the contractor to deliver quality work within the stipulated time period.
Dr. Emmanuel Apanga, the Facility Head express his appreciation to the Assembly for the rehabilitation of the Maternity ward. He said the project will improve their service delivery immensely.
Togbega Atsridom V, the Paramount Chief of the Kpedze Traditional Area was grateful that the Maternity Ward of the facility was going to be rehabilitated. He urged the contractor to expedite action on the project and also ensure quality delivery.
