On Wednesday 5th September 2022, the Ho West District Chief Executive, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau received a delegation from Hlefi Traditional Area at the Ho West District Assembly Hall, Dzolokpuita.
The visit was to officially introduce the new Paramount Chief of Hlefi Traditional Area, Torgbe Adamedanku X to the District Chief Executive.
Accompanying the Paramount Chief were Torgbe Kwami Tsrah, Divisional Chief; Torgbe Kpaodzi, Afetorfia; Tsiami Bimpeh, Linguist; Mr. Francis Avorkpo, Opinion Leader; Hon. Julius Kplem and Hon. Issac Bimpeh, Assembly Members of the area.
Some key issues discussed were the rehabilitation of Hlefi Water System, expansion of Hlefi Health Center, construction of police quarters and the support to the construction of community center which is a community self-help initiative.
In a brief address, the DCE expressed his gratitude for the visit. He said collaboration with Traditional leaders plays critical role in the promotion of peace and development in the district.
He further stated that the funtionality of the Area council is a joint responsibility, hence reminded them the roles they are to play to ensure that the Area council run effectively.
Hon. Apau also touched on the One-Paramountcy- One Farm Initiative. He urged them to identify land for the project to enable the Assembly support them with seedlings.
Togbe Adamedanku X, the Paramount Chief of Hlefi was grateful for the warm reception and indicated that his doors are open for more cordial relationship and effective collaboration to help ensure development of his communities under his jurisdiction.
At the meeting were the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor; Mr. Ebenezer Nkrumah, District Planning Officer and Emma Sekyere, the District Information Officer.
