HO WEST DISTRICT HEALTH DIRECTORATE HOLDS 2022 ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW MEETING

The District Health Directorate has held its 2022 Annual Performance Review Meeting on Monday 6th February, 2023 at Dzolo Gbogame E.P Church.

In his welcome address the District Director of Health, Dr. George Nyarko said the meeting was to review the performances of all Health facilities in the district. He disclosed that the review gives the Directorate the opportunity to measure performance, improve gains and also address areas of weakness to improve health care delivery in the district.

Mr. Nyarku took the opportunity to appeal to the District Assembly to complete Avenui CHPS Compound and also work towards opening of Tsyome CHPS Compound. He urged health care providers to continue to work hard to achieve set targets and hope the Directorate will chalk more gains this year.

Addressing participants, the District Chief Executive of Ho West, Hon Ernest Victor Apau commended Health staff for their tireless efforts in protecting and promoting health care services in the district. He added that government is committed in providing infrastructure and other essential services to boost the health system and also assured them of the District Assembly’s collaboration with the Directorate to ensure effective health care delivery to the citizenry.

Presentations on indicators such as Family Planning, Expanded Programme and Immunization (EPI), Antenatal Services, Delivery, Nutrition and other public health care diseases were made by representatives from the Health facilities under Yingor Sub District, which were Dodome Awuiasu Health Center, Dodome Teleafenu Health Center, Saviefe CHPS Compound, Akome CHPS Compound, Dzolokpuita Health Center, Dzolo Gbogame Health Center and the District Health Directorate.  After each presentation, discussions were done alongside questions on areas of achievements and challenges encountered.

The participants were made up of Community Health Management Committee Members, Assembly Members, SHEP Coordinator, Partners in Health Care Delivery, Nurses and staff of the Health Directorate. The District Chief Executive, Hon Ernest Victor Apau and the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor were also present at the meeting.
