WOMEN WITH DISABILITY DEVELOPMENT AND ADVOCACY ORGANIZATION (WODAO) PAYS COURTESY CALL ON DCE

Executives and Members of the Women with Disability Development and Advocacy Organization (WODAO) has paid courtesy call on the District Chief Executive, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau.

The meeting which took place on 1st June, 2023 at the Assembly Hall was to afford members of WODAO to formally introduce the organisation to the District Assembly and also get themselves acquitted with procedures the Assembly used in the disbursement of the 3% District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) and any other opportunities that People Living with Disabilities (PWDs) can access in the Assembly.

The team were made up Madam Veronica Kofiedu, President; Madam Precious Adade, Vice-President; Mr. Eric Kofiedu, M&E Officer, Madam Amanda Agbenyega, Treasurer, local executives and members of the organisation.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau and Management of the Assembly had an extensive discussions with the members and assured them of Assembly’s readiness to collaborate with the Organization to ensure they continue to promote the livelihood of Persons with Disabilities in the District.

WODAO is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 2017, which work to promote independent living and social inclusion of marginalized women and children with Disabilities in Volta and Oti through advocacy, awareness raising and capacity development.
