HO WEST DCE HOLDS 2023 2ND QUARTER MEETING WITH QUEEN MOTHERS’ ASSOCIATION

The Ho West District Chief Executive (DCE), Honourable Ernest Victor Apau, held a meeting with the Ho West Queen Mothers’ Association on Sunday, July 16th, 2023.

As usual, the DCE provided them with updates on the progress made in key sectors in the district, as well as the next projections.

Hon. Apau revealed that he would sponsor outreach programs for the Queen Mothers’ Association, to tackle education on adolescent reproductive health, juvenile delinquency, and the need for greater discipline among the youth. These programs will be implemented with technical support from the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, and the District Health Directorate.

He noted that several programs, such as breast cancer screening and the campaign for “DCE’s 1 Household 1 Fruit Tree,” along with the DCE’s self-learning model to improve BECE pass rates, are being implemented with the association playing key roles.

The Queen Mothers expressed their appreciation for the years of successful partnership and look forward to even greater days ahead.
