HO WEST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HOLDS 2023 FOURTH QUARTER DISTRICT PLANNING AND COORDINATING UNIT (DPCU) MEETING

The District Planning and Coordinating Unit of the Ho West District Assembly held the fourth Quarter District Planning and Coordinating Unit (DPCU) Meeting at the District Assembly Hall on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

In his opening remarks, the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor, welcomed all members to the meeting. He stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the draft 2024 Annual Action Plan and also to receive quarterly reports from Heads of Departments, Units, and Agencies. He urged all members to actively participate in the discussions.

Mr. Joel Sackey, the Assistant Planning Officer, presented the 2024 Annual Action Plan, highlighting key projects and initiatives that will contribute to the development of the District. He also provided updates on ongoing Ghana Productive Safety Net (GPSNP) projects within the district.

Heads of various departments took turns to present their third-quarter progress reports, outlining their achievements, challenges, and planned activities. The departments present included Health, Education, Budget Unit, Procurement Unit, Physical Planning, Works Department, Environmental Health, Statistics, Center for National Culture, Birth and Death, NADMO, Social Welfare and Community Development, Information Services, Human Resources, and the Agric Department.

During the meeting, the Human Resource Manager, Mr. Bismark Von Golloh, introduced Mr. Foster Amenyo as the Right to Information Officer (RTIO) to members.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor, in his closing remarks, noted that the Record Unit has changed their old filing system and therefore urged all Heads to ensure they use the correct filing numbering for their documents. He also expressed his gratitude to members and urged them to continue the teamwork to enhance service delivery and development in the district.
